Gardens to Visit in Virginia and the District of Columbia
This list was compiled for
my new book but the publisher wanted something
different. Rather than throw it away, I thought it might be of some interest to
mid-
Atlantic gardeners looking for a new garden to visit. We learn from them all,
even
when their style is very different from ours. These gardens are advertised as
open to
the public. Some require appointment or an admission fee. Some are attached to
bed
and breakfast or other commercial operations. Many are free. Have fun!

According to the folks at the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, the best way to neutralize skunk odor is to bathe your pet in a mixture of one quart three percent hydrogen peroxide, one-half cup of baking soda, and one tablespoon of Dawn dish soap. |
