Welcome to my little piece of the fine gardening world.  I started a garden design, installation and maintenance business in 1988 and have taught no-nonsense gardening at the State Arboretum of Virginia, Oatlands, Shenandoah University and other locations for over 16 years.  Former owner / editor of the regional gardening magazine, GRANDIFLORA, I continue to provide garden design consultations, and love to grow tomatoes and magnolias.

With this web site I hope to share my love of gardening, practical gardening information and real world solutions to your common gardening experiences and concerns.  Here you will find recent articles, classes that are available, back issues of Grandiflora magazine, books, and links to other valuable resources.

Enjoy Your Visit...return often as I plan to add more and more to help you have less drudgery and more delight in your garden.
